The Census of Agriculture farm visits are underway!
@USDA’s
National Agricultural Statistics Service with the cooperation of the U.S Virgin
Islands Department of Agriculture and University of
the Virgin Islands – School of Agriculture Cooperative Extension Service will visit farmers to help them
complete their #AgCensus questionnaire.
The ag census is the only source of uniform,
comprehensive and impartial agricultural data at the island level. Local
agencies and organizations use the data for a wide range of purposes, including
to provide more effective production and distribution systems to the
agricultural community and assistance to farmers who suffer damages and losses
due to natural disasters.
